The Vedic Academy Foundation is a Canadian charitable organization with the mandate to provide infrastructure for Vedic education for the entire population.
We operate three programs: Urban Vedic Academies, In-residence Vedic Academies, and Vedic Retreats.
In 2024, we launched a fundraising campaign to provide grants to support Vedic education infrastructure in cities across the country. In 2025, with the support of donors, this initiative will be maintained for Montréal, Ottawa, the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (downtown Toronto and Mississauga), Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria.
In 2020, we purchased 60 acres of forested lakefront property in the Laurentian mountains north of Montréal. Our plan is to build a forest Vedic academy for in-residence courses and retreats. The land is certified Maharishi Vastu-compliant.
This year, we are launching a fundraising campaign to create an in-residence infrastructure in Western Canada. The scope of the project includes the acquisition of land, and construction and maintenance of the infrastructure.
This program includes organizing weekend and weeklong retreats across Canada to offer an opportunity to deepen experience and understanding of Vedic knowledge. Facilities in peaceful locations are rented and the education program centred on Maharishi Vedic Science is offered by Global Country of World Peace, the organization responsible for the teaching of Transcendental Meditation and associated programs.
